  • The EYA has been running a free beekeeping program for youth aged 16 to 29 for several years now.  Successful applicants study with a team of experienced beekeepers to learn the art and science of beekeeping.  This intergenerational program aims to pass on skills and knowledge to our youth to carry on our apicultural traditions.

  • With this series of courses in small-scale and organic urban beekeeping, emphasis is placed on hands-on learning. You will have ample opportunity to spend time in the hives, building confidence and learning to manage bees. This program will teach best practices to beginners, reinvigorate experienced beekeepers and offer opportunities to take hive management and practices to higher levels.
