By now many of you may have read the recent article regarding another potential weapon in the battle against varroa.   Her group studies chemistry and biochemistry projects revolving around synthesis, ​insect olfaction and communication, and biocatalysis and are in their 3rd year of trials with a  chemical compound that could paralyze and eventually kill parasitic varroa mites.
