The talk will primarily focus on the honey bee microbiota and results from our recent studies testing how probiotics/beneficial bacteria influence honey bee resistance to disease. I will also be sharing details about the citizen science-driven Canadian Bee Gut Project (https://beegutproject.uoguelph.ca/) and how BC beekeepers can actively get involved by donating bee samples from their operations this coming fall/2023.
